Kiss Alive 35 - Living Legends

Welcome back

The original "Belgian Kiss Page" was up and running since 1995. It has always been the first (and only) Kiss related website in Belgium. But a lack of time and a somewhat decreased interest in the "Hottest Band in the World" led to quite an out of date site.

But hey ... Kiss has been really "back in business" again since 2008 and played a great show at the Graspop Metal Meeting in June that year. Well ... that's what I heard at least, unfortunately I didn't make it there myself. Luckily, there's YouTube, DailyMotion, GarageTV and Google Video to let me "smell" the atmosphere.
So what could I do but create a new interface for the Belgian Kiss Page, right?

Why Kiss?

As you know, Kiss has "die hard" fans, while other people consider them the ugliest bunch of noise makers around. I'm no die hard fan ... but just a big fan. Why? Huh ... dunno really. I mean: I know they're more obsessed by money than by music. I know they haven't done anything new in many years. I know their favourite phrase "we're doing it for the fans" is ... eh ... slightly wrong.
But on the other hand: they do a great job at what they're doing. They're overwhelming. It's more than music, it's the image, the fireworks, the show, the fire breathing, the cartoonesque characters, the extravagancy, the make-up, the pose, the logo, the merchandising. And when you're like me, born in the late 60s, seeing 4 enthousiast guys perform "I was made for loving you" on tv at the age of 10 ... well, then you become an instant addict. :-)
